Adopt-a-Grandparent
The History Tree is proud to partner with nursing homes around Central Indiana to offer the Adopt-a-Grandparent program.
The goal of this program is to help connect generations. Children will be partnered with nursing home patients who they can talk with. Through this partnership children will be able to learn what life was like for the older generation when they were growing up. Likewise, the older generation will get the chance to spend time with the younger generation.
Children who participate in the program will be encouraged to write about their experiences and submit their work to The History Tree Magazine for possible publication.
This program is open to children of all ages, elementary students through high school students.
